MASSAGE

We offer a range of different massage types: Swedish, Remedial, Relaxation, and Sports. We can provide massage treatment methods that can be tailored to you. This may or may not be a part of an injury. Whether you feel tight, sore, or just feel like relaxing. Sometimes people are unsure whether they need a massage or physiotherapy treatment. Usually, acute based injuries are best to be treated with a Physiotherapy consultation. As with most cases, acute injury management/treatment is essential as opposed to straight massage.

STRENGTH & CONDITIONING

Strength & Conditioning is the physical and physiological development of athletes for elite sports performance. The role of strength and conditioning is to use exercise and motion fitness routines specifically to improve performance in athletic sports, and competition.

Alpine High Performance provides full access to a gym facility with all weight machines and free weight equipment required for strength and conditioning training. This allows clients to fast track performance and success, in order to achieve goals faster. Furthermore, tailored exercise programs can be prescribed to allow individuals to progress and perform independently, with additional advice from trainers when required.

CLINICAL PILATES

Clinical Pilates is used to help promote recovery for injured muscles, as well as encourage the engagement of muscles for specific motions, such as running, cycling, skiing, and snowboarding.

At Mount Buller Physiotherapy we offer Clinical Pilates for injury rehabilitation or for general fitness and wellbeing.

Pilates is a form of exercise which emphasises activation and use of your ‘core’ muscles. These are muscles located in your abdomen (front back and sides). These muscles work as stabilisers and increasing the strength of these muscles can help reduce other accessory muscles working when they shouldn’t be.

Physiotherapy during pregnancy offers pain relief, pelvic floor strengthening, and preparation for childbirth. It addresses postural changes, reduces stress, and aids in postpartum recovery. Our Physiotherapists provide tailored exercises and education, promoting comfort and mobility while reducing the risk of complications. Additionally, techniques such as pregnancy massage can alleviate muscle tension and promote relaxation, while taping methods can provide support and stability to the growing belly and pelvis. Physiotherapy empowers expectant mothers to navigate pregnancy with ease and confidence, ensuring a smoother transition to motherhood and enhancing overall well-being.
